Ordinary air compressors meet the fluctuation of air demand by maintaining a high pressure throughout the system, adjusting the opening degree of the intake valve (throttling) to adjust the air volume at partial loads, and venting at low loads (no-load operation), all of which result in energy waste at low air consumption.
